Beverly Wheeler, MD, is a 1978-graduate of the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine in Richmond, VA. Her postgraduate training includes her psychiatry residency and geriatric psychiatry fellowship served at the University of Cincinnati School of Medicine (1978 – 1984). Dr. Wheeler attained board certification in psychiatry with the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Furthermore, she has been honored with the Most Outstanding Psychiatrist Award in Indiana for Mental Health and Addiction by Mental Health America of Indianapolis (2012), as well as listed into Who’s Who in American Women (1984) and Who’s Who in the Midwest for Outstanding Contributions to Medicine and Humanitarianism (1985). Dr. Wheeler was further honored with the Upjohn Award for Clinical Excellence and Applied Personal Qualities at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine (1979). She is a member of the Indiana Psychiatric Society and the American Association of Community Psychiatrists, and Life Member of the American Psychiatric Association.
